Final Reflection

What I enjoyed the most from this semester was meeting new people and improving my English. At first I thought this course would be easy but then I realized that it wasn't and I needed to make an effort. I was shy everytime I passed in front of the class to give my speech but then over time I took confidence. I learned new vocabulary. I loved hearing the different opinions from classmates and debating about trending topics. Also I learned to work in team and communicate. My teacher was really good, she always pushed us to improve ourselves.

Reflection Third Month

This semester I absolutely learned a lot. At the beginning I wasn't really into the class, but then after we needed to pass to give our speeches, I realized I needed to make an effort.  I always stammered and laughed, so that didn’t gave me confidence.  For this third month, my base group needed to do a TV Show. I was nervous, but when it was my turn to speak, I did well. I was frenzied. We also read “The Necklace”, I did like that short story. I started investigating the new vocabulary, I was surprise because I thought I knew a lot of words but after researching I learn new things. The third conditional ws a little difficult for me, but I know I will understand if I keep practicing. I really liked this month and the activities we did.

Stay Humble

She is just 18 years old and has won a Nobel Prize. What person comes to your mind after you hear that phrase? I think of Malala Yousafzai.

After I had read the book of Malala, I started getting informed about the actions she did. Subsequently, I really got interested in her life. In class, when we needed to do an informative speech, I told my partner to start researching about Malala. I wanted to get to know about Malala's life in a deeper way. I leaned that Malala is a humble person. Sheis just like us, she doesn't get such good grades but she keeps studying. I do help my society, but not like Malala. I do health packs; these packets include soaps, shampoos, toothpastes, etc and send them to retirement houses where old people live. I promote these values with the people that surround me including my family and friends.

In conclusion, I really admire Malala for the person she is and for the actions she has donde for our society. I want to keep promoting these values because if someone doesn't do it, who will?

Keep Calm As A Spider

Imagine being bitten by a spider and the next day you get yo climb walls and shoot spider webs from your wrists. I imagine that happening to me since I saw Spiderman movies.

I was 10 years was the first time when I saw a Spiderman movie. Since that moment, I approached any moment of the day to jump at the walls acting like I was climbing walls like Spiderman. But I didn't fall in love with this superhero just because he could climb walls. He helped people without hesitating. That's what I liked the most of him. I still remember when I saw the movie scene where he helped many people from a metro without brakes. He almost died but he still put his life in risk just to save those strangers. Another thing I like about him is his progress as a person. Since he was a hero for the city, he has new responsabilities, but he didn't get overwhelmed. He just kept going. He never gave up and stopped saving people.

Someday, I would love to climb walls and shoot spider webs from my wristss but I would be content to have his patience. To keep calm. To never give up on my goals and keep reaching high just like Spiderman did.

I play volleyball. I like to watch movies and go to parties with my friends. I like to spend my weekends with my family. I have a dog and its name is Polly.
